Lily of the valley is May's birth flower — small, fragrant, and long tied to sweetness and the return of happiness. Painted first in gouache and then woven in cotton, this design keeps the flower quiet and lets the color do the warming.

Pen+Pillar In the Wild
I expected this blanket to be high quality because everything I’ve ever gotten from Pen+Pillar has been, but this blanket exceeded my expectations. The design is so pretty, and it is nice and thick. It’s neutral enough for me to use in several rooms of my house. I saw another review with a cat in the picture, and I had the exact same experience. My cat was immediately a fan. I love that the artwork is original and that it is made in North Carolina. It really feels like something special.
I love it! It is so soft and has a good weight to it. It is beautiful and comforting.
Like everything from pen&pillar this has become my favorite!! I have loved everything paper from pen&pillar for years. When this blanket showed up at my door, I knew it was just perfect! It’s such a treat to snuggle up with and read or watch a favorite show! Even with the chaos of toddlers, in the background it’s a little treat to look forward to every day!

This blanket is genuinely lovely. I have it in the Thicket pattern, and it's such a subtle, beautiful design — it goes with several different things in my home, which I love in a throw blanket. It's also noticeably thicker and more substantial than I expected, so it feels like real quality, not just decorative.
What really sold me is the craftsmanship — each design starts as a hand-painted piece by their founder, Taylor, then gets woven right here in the NC foothills.
It's the kind of piece that works draped over a chair, at the foot of the bed, or wrapped around you on the couch — pretty enough to double as decor, but soft and cozy enough to actually use. Highly recommend.
