Two years ago, planners were our most requested item. We worked for months trying to source USA-made planners that met our quality and ethics standards, and we could not find an affordable partner. So, we decided to make them ourselves!

Why Handmade?
We are committed to an ethical, transparent, and sustainable supply chain. We couldn't make our planners, notebooks, and recipe books in a facility that we could personally verify met our standards at a price point that was doable. It's labor intensive to make these by hand, but that's the plus! Pen+Pillar exists not only to serve you with beautiful, quality goods, but also to serve the local refugee community though employment opportunities. Keeping our handmade process allows us to do just that. Instead of outsourcing, we can bring opportunity in.
